Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1022 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area. Between 3 and 5 inches of rain have fallen. - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Menard Creek near Rye affecting Hardin, Polk and Liberty Counties. East Fork San Jacinto near New Caney affecting Harris, Montgomery and Liberty Counties. Navasota River near Normangee affecting Brazos, Madison and Grimes Counties. Brazos River near Rosharon affecting Fort Bend and Brazoria Counties. For the Menard Creek...including Rye...Moderate flooding is forecast. For the East Fork San Jacinto River...including New Caney...Moderate flooding is forecast.
